keeping live music alive
The events are a great opportunity to meet up with old friends and make some new ones. The HOT SPOT MUSIC CLUB is a friendly and relaxed venue. Read below for details of all of the events taking place.
Every Sunday from September to June
Drop up to the Hot Spot for our weekly Sunday Jam from 4pm. Sometimes it’s jazz, sometimes it’s ukulele and sometimes it’s just plain ol’ roots! To participate, perform or promote – email firstname.lastname@example.org
Host your private party – It’s the hottest spot in Greystones! For smaller party numbers e.g. 20 – 25 you can reserve the upper deck at a gig of your choice & bring your own nibbles!
You can buy discount tickets to most events online, in person at the venue during opening hours or by phone 087 2917519 (cr. card)
The Hidden Revolution / Support: the FEUDS
Formed out of the ashes of Change Nothing, The Hidden Revolution are "certainly experimental", "sometimes indie" and "rocky in parts". The band is: "Chris Wise – vocals, guitar; Dale Harrop – lead guitar; Ian Sanderson – the bass; Houston Ramm – drums, humming."
What type of music do you play?
"We wouldn't want to label it anything really but if we had to… erm… certainly a range of eclectic influences, Queens Of The Stone Age, Mars Volta, Jeff Buckley, Zeppelin to name a few, but we think you're better off going to listen and making your own mind up. Certainly experimental, sometimes indie, rocky in parts. We just use our ears."
Local up & coming band from Kilcoole, the Feuds are supporting this UK band on the day. The Feuds were recently selected as one of ten bands to play electric picnic as part of the 2fm 'Play the Picnic' competition and also won the judge's prize in the recent 'Stepping Stones Battle of the Bands' sponsored by Greystones 2020 & the Greystones Guide. As part of the prize the Feuds got to record their amazing new single and video in the Hot Spot Music Club
